Directions for Use:
Preparation: Erect your tent or awning in a well-ventilated area. Ensure that the fabric to be treated is clean, completely dry, and free from any traces of detergents or contaminants.
Application:
- Apply Camp Guard using a paintbrush or a garden-type spray.
- Ensure that Camp Guard thoroughly penetrates the fabric.
- The equipment used for application should be free of any water or foreign residue.
- Clean the spray nozzles with turpentine when not in use.
Testing: Before applying Camp Guard to the entire surface, it’s advisable to test a small, inconspicuous section first to ensure compatibility and desired results.
Application Process:
- Apply Camp Guard in sections, starting from the outer top of the tent or awning.
- Make sure to work the sealant into the fabric, ensuring even coverage.
Curing Time: Camp Guard will cure in approximately 7 hours after application. Allow it sufficient time to fully dry and set.
Cleaning Equipment: After use, clean the spraying equipment thoroughly with turpentine to prevent any residual sealant from hardening.
Caution:
Ensure that Camp Guard does not come into contact with surfaces such as Tar Mac, PVC, or rubbers, as it may cause adverse reactions.
Precautions:
- Inhalation: Avoid excessive inhalation of fumes. It’s recommended to wear gloves, a mask, and safety glasses during application. If respiratory irritation occurs, seek medical attention.
- Ingestion: DO NOT INGEST. Keep Camp Guard away from the mouth. If ingested, do not induce vomiting. Give 1 to 2 glasses of water and seek immediate medical attention.
- Skin and Eye Contact: Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing. In case of contact:
- Eyes: Flush with water for at least 15 minutes. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.
- Skin: Wipe off any product from the skin with absorbent paper and wash the affected area with soap and water.
- Flammability: Camp Guard is flammable. Do not smoke or use the product near sources of ignition.
- Accidental Illness: If the use of Camp Guard results in accidental illness or adverse reactions, consult a doctor immediately.
Active Ingredients: Camp Guard contains the following active ingredients: Dimethyl Benzene, N-Octyllinone, Tinuvin, Silane.
